Durty Linen consists of Kevin FitzGerald, Pete Smith and a whole
crowd of friends who constitute the band for particular gigs.

Kevin has been singing and playing for over 35 years, since buying his first mandolin in an auction sale at age 13. His first folk club gig was in 1969 at Belper Folk Club in Derbyshire. He has co-hosted clubs in Derby, Leicester and Nottingham in the past, but generally prefers the atmosphere of village pubs these days. He is an accomplished singer, guitarist, mandolinist, octave mandola and tenor banjo player and has performed as a session mandolinist on others’ albums. In his time, he has shared the stage with Julie Felix, Nancy Whiskey, Johnny Silvo and many other household names and has played in most parts of England, Scotland and the Irish Republic. Previous bands include The Clansmen, The Farriers, Triannan, Spindrift and Common Ground.
Durty Linen enjoy their music and transmit this to their audience who reciprocate enthusiastically. They drive the music with a determination not seen since the Dubliners were younger. Audiences love them and always want them back. They are planning on a CD early next year, but at present, the only way you can hear them is LIVE!!!
